I've been feeling guilty for being so neglectful but I'm stress free because I've been spending my time taking care of myself. I've been finding out just how much of my time was spent on blogging and I'm relearning to do all the things I enjoyed for the other ?? years of my life BB (before blogging)!
My Country Quilt QPs have piqued my interest in quilting! Can you believe it? When I was asked by a few friends to join a quilt guild, I didn't think it was something I wanted to do but, after finding a stack of my great grandmother's quilt blocks in my fabric box, I decided that is JUST what I want to do with my spare time...for a while, at least.
I've also spent hours reading tons of books, cleaning my house, and even managed to do some baking, etc. Don't tell anyone that I haven't gotten to that ironing yet.
Oh...by the way...My appointment for my citizenship is finally coming! February 3rd! It's back to the American history for me. I'm cramming all that I need to know as the days tick closer and closer.
Bill and I are just getting over terrible colds that all but knocked us out for the past couple of weeks. It felt good to stay wrapped up in a nice warm blanket and watch movies. Bill went in to work on Thursday and Friday (and I stayed snuggled up on the couch) but he spent the weekend with me...in front of the TV.. getting better.
Thank you to all of you who continue to visit my blog. It makes me feel good to know that some friendships have been formed. I hope you will continue to communicate through the comment section. I assure you that I am all safe and sound and that I haven't forgotten you. I'll post and hand out a freebie from time to time but, without my Creative Team, blogging just isn't the same. I never did scrap for myself, as you know; I just made things to give away. So, without those close relationships that I, too, developed, I don't have much motivation to keep me blogging on a regular basis.

Prayer Chain
I haven't forgotten all who are in need of prayer, either. It's a bit more difficult to do without daily contact, but the prayer I leave for you tonight is all inclusive.
If you'd like to have yourself or a loved one specifically named in the prayer, please write to me.

"Gracious God, the comfort of all who sorrow, the strength of all who suffer, hear the cry of those in misery and need. In their afflictions show them your mercy, and give us, we prey, the strength to serve them, for the sake of him who suffered for us, your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
We ask your blessing and healing for our friends and families. Fill them with your peace that surpasses all understanding, and guard their hearts and minds with Your settling presence.
Let us pray for all who have not received the gospel of Christ, that God will open their hearts to the truth, and lead them to faith and obedience.
We ask you also, Heavenly Father to watch over those in the military who are serving their countries. Defend them with Your grace, strengthen them in their trials. Give them courage to face any peril they may face. Grant them a sense of Your abiding presence wherever they go. Give them an overwhelming awareness of Your love. Be with their families and give them strength to cope with all that they have to endure. Amen."
"I love the Lord, because he has heard the voice of my supplication, because he has inclined his ear to me whenever I called on him." (Psalm 116)
