My cold's on the mend

Well, here it is Wednesday, again. It seems I'm always saying that...at least every Wednesday, anyway. I've got another busy day, today, so I'll get right down to business this morning. I over-slept a bit and now I've got to hustle, again.

I had one of many pleasant surprises in my email yesterday. I got a letter from Ms. Kari (visit her blog, here) who told wrote" I am so amazed at the talent! Take a quick peek over at my blog..there's a little surprise there for you." When I visited her blog, I was thrilled to see that she'd given me the Creative Blogger Award. She also wrote glowing things about all of the women she chose to give the award to. I was so excited I couldn't wait for this morning to post it, so I added it to the sidebar of my blog, immediately, but want to share it with you now, and give the proper thanks to Ms. Kari, publicly.

Ms. Kari tells me that I have the daunting task of passing it on to 5 other bloggers who I think are "creative". Thanks, so much, Ms. Kari, for honoring me with this great award. I'll have a few days to think about who I'd like to pass it on to, and then I'll announce the names of those I've chosen, here.

Today's Reader Layout, once again, comes to us from genie. She's used my "So You Want Color" kit to scrap this photo of her 2 adorable grandchildren.

Genie wrote that she went out on a limb and tried something different in this layout. She tried using a few more embellishments that she normally does. I'd say you achieved success, genie. You're layout adds that special touch to an already "perfect" picture. How can you lose with such cute subjects as Alexander and Ella. What a proud grandma you must be! Genie, one of our readers from Australia, has been a regular contributor to the Reader Layout part of my blog. Her aim is to scrap one photo per day, and I'm certainly honored that she's chosen so many of my kits and quickpages to use in order to accomplish her goal, and I'm glad she's allowed me to feature them here, on my blog. Thanks, so much, genie, for sharing all of your beautiful layouts with us.

For our Reader Quickpage, today, I'll be giving you the last, Part 5, in the series of beautiful quickpages that Linda has created using my "Romantic Grunge" kit. Linda, too, has become such a regular contributor to my blog, and along with genie and cra-Z-cat, she's become much more than a contributor. She's becoming a friend.

It seems that so many "like-minded" people come together, to share this fabulous hobby, that it's very easy to make meaningful friendships, even though vast distances separate us. It's been such a wonderful experience for me. I've come to love blogging, so much, I'm reluctant to stay in bed in the morning, even when I'm not feeling well, because I'd miss my friends, tremendously. I think I'd better get back to the quickpage from Linda, before I start crying...lol.

Within 2 days of giving out my "Romantic Grunge" kit, Linda wrote to me, filled with excitement, to tell me she'd made all these beautiful quickpages to share with you. They are gorgeous, Linda, and we all thank you for making and sharing them with us. Once again, "Romantic Grunge Quickpage #5 is in keeping with the rest of the Quickpages in Linda's series. I think it's a wonderful addition. Here's the preview of "Romantic Grunge" Quickpage #5 for you.

If you'd like this, #5, and the last, in the "Romantic Grunge" Quickpage series by Linda, please click here to download. Please don't hotlink to this file. If you'd like to share it with your friends, please direct them here, to my blog. Thank you. I'm sorry to see this series come to an end, but Linda, once again, has stepped up and provided me with many more great things to share with you, in the days to come. Thanks, from the bottom of my heart, Linda, for helping to make my blog a success. :)

For all of you who blog early in the morning, I just have to share another special layout I received, yesterday. As you know, I have come down with a nasty head cold and haven't really felt like blogging and my creative juices seem to be occupied, elsewhere. Yesterday was a very busy day, again. Seems like I've been running ragged this past few weeks. Normally, I don't even leave the house, but lately, I'm never home! Maybe that's why I got this cold. However, yesterday, when I returned home to "pee" the dogs between my appointments, I checked my email and found that sweet Linda had made a wonderful "Get Well" layout for me, to cheer me up.

I posted it on my blog, immediately, but just have to do it again to share with all of those who missed it. Linda, our RN friend from Texas, knows just how to beat this cold. With all this good advice, I'm sure to be well, soon. Thanks, again, Linda. Your thoughtfulness, certainly, did cheer me up.

Now, it's time for my little gift for all of you, my faithful readers. I'm sorry that I have been a bit under the weather for the past few days. I really haven't been up to sitting for hours at the computer. Oh, I've tried...as you well know. I just couldn't live without trying to make something for you. My friend Julia P. says "You worry too much about your blog and not enough about yourself". I know she's right, but I hate to let people down. Today, I'm afraid that I only have another quickpage for you. It's the quickpage I made from the layout that started the "Monica's Garden" kit. There are a couple of things in the quickpage that aren't in the kit, so I hope you can use it. Here's the preview of my "Monica's Garden Quickpage" for you.

If you can use and would like this "Monica's Garden Quickpage", click here to download. Please don't hotlink to this file. If you'd like to share it with your friends, please direct them here, to my blog. Thank you.

Once again, it's time to say goodbye. Remember, now, I'll do my best to blog while I'm away. I don't know if I'll have access to an internet connection, but, if I do, you can be sure I'll have something for you as often as I can. I want to spend as much time with my Mom & Dad as I possibly can, since I won't see them again until spring. I know you'll all understand. At the very worst, I'll be back next Thursday with a little goodie for you.

Thanks to all of you, who continuously leave me words of praise and other kind and thoughtful messages. You brighten my day with your words.

Thanks, again, Ms. Kari, for honoring me with the Creative Blogger Award. I, truly, appreciate that you think highly enough of my work to pass it on to me.

Thanks to all of you who have sent in layouts to share on my blog. The response has been overwhelming, so please be patient if you haven't seen yours, yet. I am featuring them in the order they were received. If you'd like to see YOUR layout or creations here, on my blog, just write and let me know and we'll take it from there. As the "girls" will tell you...it's quite a thrill to be able to share things with others. (my email address can be found under the heading "view my complete profile" at the top right of my blog, under my gorgeous picture...lol)

Thanks to Cra-Z-cat, Linda, genie, Julia P. , and EAL for their continued support in the "Reader" areas of my blog. They've contributed many beautiful layouts and freebies to share with you. Please don't take their contributions for granted. Put yourself in their positions and be sure to leave them lots of "luv" for thinking of you, in this way. I'm used to the small number of thank yous I receive in contrast to the large number of downloads, but they aren't, and could easily misunderstand the lack of comments for a lack of appreciation of their gifts to you. Please be thoughtful as you download the beautiful things they have made for you.

Thanks to everyone who visits my blog. Without you, my blog would not be the success that it is. It's a very rewarding hobby, for me, and I really do appreciate your support.

Have a great day, everyone. I'll do my best to blog while I'm away but, if I can't, I'll be back as soon as I'm home. I hope you don't forget about me in my absence.

Hugs to all....
