Tonight, we made cookies with the recipe I gave you, yesterday. They are to die for. They just melt in your mouth. "Dip them in melted chocolate" is such a deceptive statement! What a pain! We managed to get them done with many laughs and many pictures. Things didn't work out exactly as we expected them to...lol. But, in the end...they were fabulous and well worth the "fun". You have to try them, if you have nothing better to do with your time! :) Just keep your melted chocolate on the warm side. That was our first mistake! lol The second mistake was that I didn't wear an apron. It was our test batch, so....the worst that could happen was that we would have to eat them. Courtney figures that they are only about 1000 calories per ball. So, let's see....hmmmm But, hey...It's Christmas!
I got a lovely note from a woman that visits my blog. Her name is Peggy. Peggy is a Hybrid Scrapper. She's downloaded some of my Glitter Goodies and has been very busy using them. She sent me a link to show me what she's been up to. Have a look.

These Christmas ornaments are GORGEOUS! Since this is a photograph of her creation, and not real life, you'll have to look closely. You can see the sweet faces of her sister's children, framed with my Round Glitter Frames, inside these clear glass ornaments. The purple ornament, in the middle, has a picture of great granny. They've been tied with ribbons that match the frames, and, now, Peggy is going to be sending them out to her sister, for Christmas. This is such a wonderful example of hybrid scrapping. What a fantastic project, Peggy. Thank you, so much, for sending me the link to see this fabulous gift you've made. It is truly "one of a kind". You've made my day. :)
The Reader Layout for tonight, was sent in by Ms. Kari. She made a gorgeous tribute to her mother-in-law for "Mother-in-Law's Day". On her blog, Ms. Kari says "She's a great "other mother"."

For this "tribute layout". Ms. Kari has made use of my Primary Plaids Kit. Neat idea, Ms. Kari. I'll bet your mother-in-law was deeply touched by the sentiment in that poem. What a lovely thing to do for her.
If you have a chance, why not visit Ms. Kari's blog. She's in the spirit of Christmas over there with a great new Christmas blog header! Check out all the great things there.
She also has a plea for prayer for a little guy named Spencer who has leukemia. Why not go and read about him and add him to your prayer list. He's a sweet little guy who's in need of our help.
Speaking of Ms. Kari...She's just full of surprises! She's sent me 2 Christmas Glitter Quickpages to share with you that she made using the Christmas Glitter Goodies I've been giving out. She's also gone and made them in 3 sizes for you! There's an 8 x 8, 8 1/2 x 11 and a 12 x 12 format. They should suit all your needs!
Here's a look at the Christmas Glitter Quickpage #1

If you'd like this Christmas Glitter Quickpage #1, click here to download.
And...her second one!

If you'd like this Christmas Glitter Quickpage #2, click here to download.
I know you'll be able to find the perfect photo to use in Ms. Kari's Christmas Glitter QPs. Don't forget to thank her for making these quickpages to share with you. She deserves it!
There's getting to be quite a bit of Christmas "stuff" out there so I'm not sure what to do with the rest of mine. I thought, tonight, I'd give out a quickpage that seems to suit the weather everyone's been having. These funny little bands of snow are seemingly lost and the snow is not falling in the usual areas. Maybe there's someone out there who could make use of this Let it Snow Quickpage that I made the other day. I added some bright, colorful frames and text to brighten it up.

If you'd like this Let it Snow Quickpage (now revised), click here to download. This file now contains the revised verson. 12/12/07. Please don't hotlink to this file. If you'd like to share it with your friends, please send them here, to my blog. Thank you.
It's time to grant the wish of one good little girl or boy. Genie asked me if I'd make her a Santa Hat so that she could put it onto the Christmas pictures of her grandchildren. Genie assured me, when she wrote her "Dear Sindiego" letter, that she'd been a good girl, that day! I don't know if that means she was bad every other day, but I suspect it does! In spite of that, I've made her a "satin" Santa Hat with a fur trim. I know she won't mind if I share it with everyone. I know there must be other Santa Hats out there, and maybe you've already downloaded them, but since genie asked me to make it for her, I did. Here's what it looks like on my hubby...lol Isn't he one handsome guy? mmmmm Okay, genie...here's the scoop. The download ONLY includes the Santa Hat....NOT the Santa! lol He's all mine!!!!!!! (How many of you recognize the tie? It's one of the ties I used for the Dad's Ties Kit.)
So, If you'd like this Santa Hat (ONLY),

Click here to download it. Please don't hotlink to this file. If you'd like to share it with your friends, please send them here, to my blog. Thank you.

Ms. Kari - Thanks, again, for the lovely QPs you made to share with everyone. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Cra-Z-cat - Sorry to hear you have another raging headache! I hope you get over it quicker than the one you had last week! Nobody has time to feel ill at this time of the year. I missed you last night and today. You do sound like you have a busy, but enjoyable weekend coming up. It's getting to be that time of the year! I hope you got your blue tooth situation fixed up. I'll be looking for you later tonight.
Jamie - I hope your internet issues resolve themselves. What an annoyance it must be to have that patchy connection. I know that when you're trapped with no alternate service provider, it's very frustrating. I'm in the same situation. We are just small town ISP here. The high speed connection I have is everyone else's lowest speed..lol.
I hope you're managing to keep all the Christmas Glitter Goodies organized. I'm sorry that the files names are not always the same. I keep getting the message that the name is too long, so I try, best, to describe what is in the file. Sometimes, I can't put Christmas Glitter Goodies in the file name. I have more papers for tomorrow...some plaid, striped and plain sating for you. After that, it's up to you.
I'll try to make what you want, if anything. I fear you might be tiring of them. I don't want to bore you and drive you away. If you want more, let me know, but if nobody tells me they want them, I will discontinue them and try to find something else to make for you. It's your call. This blog's for you. I have been working on some of the Glitter Goodies you asked for in your letters, but I don't have to give them out. I can go on to other things.
The Christmas Season is upon us. It's time, in the true spirit of Christmas, to think of others. Before I go, I'd like to ask your prayers for a few of our regular visitors, here on the blog. It will only take a moment. So, please, won't you help out?
I ask your prayers for elaine. She has not been well for the past few weeks. Medication hasn't helped her situation, so she will be seeing an ENT specialist to try to get to the bottom of things. Please pray for elaine's recovery.
I'd like to ask everyone to keep Galtscrapper in your prayers. She and her family are going through some hard times, right now and can use our support. She tells me that she's applied for a job at Apple Computers, where she used to work, and, if she gets the job, that would, surely, help them out of their financial bind and prevent them from losing their home. Also, Galtscrapper is pregnant and will need the strength to endure the demands that will be placed upon her. Please pray for strength for Galtscrapper.
I ask for your continued prayers for Linda and Ralph. Ralph's tests and doctor's appointments are still ongoing. Please pray for Ralph's recovery and for strength for Linda.
I leave you with this verse.
"Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you." I Peter: 5:7
See you tomorrow.
Hugs...

Hi Sweetie! What wonderful presents you had for us tonight!! I love the photo of your hubby! What a nice looking man he is! So professional~ LOL!!
I'm so glad that it sounds like you are having a wonderful time with Courtney. The time spent together like that cannot be replaced. I know that it will go much too fast for you though. I hope that you guys get to do everything that you want while she is visiting.
Thank you so much for sharing more of your glitter goodies!! I, for one, will never tire of the designs that you come up with. I have loved each & every gift from you, and I am looking forward to more of these glitzy gifts! Your work is incredible, and I can't wait to see what you have waiting for us each & every night!! Please keep up the theme!!
I love the verse that you shared with us tonight. It is one that I used in my testimony for a women's renewal that I was part of about 10yrs. ago. It is so fitting for so many times in our lives. Please know that I will keep Elaine, Linda, and Ralph in my prayers for continued strength & recovery. I will also say a special prayer for Galtscrapper as she goes through this most difficult time. I was in her shoes (without being pregnant also) not that many years ago!! Thankfully, with much prayer, my house sold before it was auctioned. That is why I live with my daughter & her family now. The holidays always seem to make everything so much worse, don't they?
Well, I hope you gals continue to have a wonderful time, and I will try to see you again tomorrow night! Thank you so much once again!!
Hi - I didn't have access to internet yesterday because I decided on the spur of the moment to pop home to England for a couple of days to visit my Mum and Dad! We spent yesterday just chatting and it was great! Today I'll be doing a bit of Christmas shopping with them - lovely!
When I looked at your blog this morning to read yesterday's and today's posts, I couldn't believe how much you have shared with us. I will have a lot of downloading to do on Thursday when I get back home. The Christmas QPs are lovely, the Santa hat is perfect and you have made yourself quite clear - we all realise that the Santa is yours ;-)
I, for one, am not tired of this Christmas glitter. I am saving it all up for my after-Christmas scrapping. Do you have some glitter Christmas presents tied up with ribbon - please?
Those chocolate sweets sound like fun to make. I can just imagine you and your daughter in the kitchen enjoying yourselves.
My thoughts go to those you have mentioned in your post. I hope everything works out all right.
Have a good day>
Thanks. I have to be short tonight, it's late, and I need some sleep. That cold has really got me. No call today from Apple. Of course, I have NO idea what to think...did they NOT get my resume? Did they take one look at it, and think, no way? Despite having worked there before? I KNOW I need to be patient, and I am, but I have no idea who to call, or how long to wait before I panic...well, not that I will panic. But you know what I mean... I MIGHT have ONE contact left, but she doesn't even work here anymore, she moved to the Austin campus, so I am not certain what she can do for me. Might be worth shooting her an email all the same though. She and I started at Apple together, and she quickly moved into management, which suited her perfectly. I HATE management. I've had to do it, and I don't like it at all.
Well, I've really got to go think about sleeping :). I don't know how being sleep deprived is supposed to help my cold OR the baby. But I do imagine we'll all survive...been there, done that! Not to mention, I am ALWAYS more emotional at night...probably because I have to slow down and then my thoughts start intruding.
Good night!
Sarah
Thank you! The DigiFree freebie search engine is about to list this blog post!
I feel like I can reach inside my computer and feel the fur on the hat it looks so real...Thankyou for sharing this and also that handsome looking man. Now we know what he looks like when you talk about him. enjoy your days with your daughter....time goes so fast.
Thanks for the Santa hat! Can't wait to put it on a pic of dh from Christmas morning.
Don't believe it when Comcast advertises "lightening-fast" internet! It took 5 WHOLE MINUTES to download that one little hat!! I'm tempted to go to a dial-up connection for $10/mo....it can't be much slower than this "high-speed!!" LOL
Don't know how much scrapping I'll get done during the next couple of weeks....besides the usual holiday craziness, I've had another MS relapse and am really feeling quite weak. My wonderful kids have been taking me shopping....plopping me into a wheelchair and buzzing around the mall. I HATE this!! Pray that this resolves itself before long, ok? So far, I've recovered nearly completely from other episodes; I dread the day that that recovery doesn't happen.
Have a wonderful week with your daughter, Marlene. Time with our kids is so, so precious.
My prayers also for Linda & Ralph and Galtscrapper....and all who need them.
Oh wow, look at you, posting my QPs!! lol I swear, I thought that Santa hat was real! Thank you for mention about Spencer. It breaks my heart to think of what that sweet little man has been thru.
Have a wonderful week & I'll get to work on more QPs.
Glad you had a great day with Courtney and your hubby looks great in your Santa hat.
I will keep this short as I have been wearing my hot water bottle again to get my pain down. I also have to paint some more of my sister's santa. I paint her a new old world santa every year and they take about 12 hours. This year's is more modern.
Have a good day/evening.
You know, you are just too sweet. Thank you so much for asking for prayers for me. Truthfully, I don't feel all that bad. Its just like I have a very bad head and chest cold that just won't leave me. It's more annoying then anything else, especially my clogged ear. But it is a little depressing not seeing any improvement with the medication and I am a little concerned that it may be doing some damage. Anyway, I am glad you are enjoying the time with your daughter. It sounds just like when my Sister comes to visit. It's just so nice spending the time together, not that we have to do anything special, the special part is just being with each other. Thanks so much for the santa hat, it looks so realistic. And I for one am not getting tired of your glitter goodies. Yes there is a load of Christmas kits out there, but this is your Christmas kit and a beautiful one at that.
wonderful santa hat.. looks so real.. i love it.. sry i didn't comment last night; i was under the weather again!! another day off work to rest..
hoho, merci beaucoup c'est magnifique !
